Customer Story:
The University of Salford, located close to the city centre of Manchester in the north of England, is home to over 70,000 students, making it one of the largest student populations in Europe. The University is committed to providing high-quality education while enhancing its brand visibility and sustainability efforts.
The Project:
The z-fold map for the University of Salford was designed to fit extensive information into a compact format. Crafted from a single sheet of paper with a glued-on card cover, this innovative piece allowed for up to 18 sections of content on both sides. Enhanced with LED UV printing technology, the map featured vibrant colours and a crisp finish. This functional and engaging design quickly became a staple in the University’s materials, providing students with a handy resource that effectively communicates essential information.
LED UV uses around 20% less ink than conventional printing presses because there’s no absorption of the ink into the paper.
Their Challenge
The University faced a common challenge in the printing of materials, striving to fit a large amount of information into a compact space. With a need for engaging, informative print that could effectively communicate essential details to students, they sought a solution that would stand out in a competitive environment.
Our Solution
To address this challenge, we introduced an innovative multi-fold print solution—a z-fold piece made from a single sheet of paper, featuring a glued-on card cover and back. This exciting design offers several advantages:
- Compact and Functional: The z-fold format is small enough to fit easily into a pocket, ensuring that students keep and refer to the material.
- Versatile Content Layout: This design can accommodate up to 18 sections on both sides, allowing for a wealth of information without compromising readability.
- Vibrant Printing: Utilising our LED UV printing technology, we ensured vibrant colours and a clean, crisp finish. LED UV printing uses approximately 20% less ink than conventional methods, as the ink does not absorb into the paper, enhancing the overall quality.
The Results
This engaging print piece not only captured attention but also became a valuable tool for communication, making it difficult for recipients to overlook. The versatility of the z-fold works well across various applications, allowing for tailored solutions to meet different needs.
More Ways to Utilise a Z-Fold:
- Event Guides: Complete your event experience with a z-fold attached to a lanyard, guiding guests or team members around the venue.
- Product Tags: Z-fold booklet tags provide an elegant and cost-effective way to showcase additional content on clothing and bottle hang tags.
