Our Certifications Explained
The British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF)
The BPIF is the principal business support organisation representing the UK print, printed packaging and graphic communication industry. We’re audited annually by the BPIF to ensure that we are reducing environmental impact.
World Land Trust
This status means we have measured and balanced the annual impacts of our fossil fuel usage, transportation and electricity consumption. These impacts are third-party verified and then balanced (offset) with international conservation charity World Land Trust (WLT).
Every year we measure and review our emissions to make sure we are continually reducing our impact.
FSC - Forests For All Forever
As part of maintaining our position as a sustainable printing company all the paper we print on is FSC® certified.
Although we can't use the FSC® logo you can have peace of mind that you are choosing a sustainable option. You can read more about this on our blog.
Love Paper

ISO 14001 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that an organisation can use to enhance its environmental performance.
All our printing services, from design through to despatch, are covered by our ISO 14001 Environmental Management standard. We're externally audited every year.
ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). We have this standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
All our waste is minimised and then sorted before being recycled, resulting in zero waste going to landfill, and our staff are fully trained in the efficient operation of our systems. Progress is monitored quarterly by our senior management team.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I add the Carbon Balanced Print logo to my job?
You can do this two ways, you can supply your artwork leaving space for us to add the logo before we print or we can supply you with a set of guidelines and a unique logo for your graphic designer to use when creating the artwork. We do have a few versions of our logo so you can choose one that complements your design.
- How can I work out how much carbon is balanced per job?
We can work this out for you, it’s a combination of what we’ve balanced from the printing production process and the amount of Carbon Balanced paper used in your job. We can even issue you with a certificate to show the total amount of carbon you’ve balanced and the rainforest you’ve protected by printing with B&B Press.
- Do I have to use the Carbon Balanced Logo on my job?
We recommend you do but, but we understand you may not want to include the logo on your job for whatever reason, that is completely fine. The job will still be a Carbon Balanced Print job and you’ll still be supporting World Land Trust but no one else will know.
- What is the difference between Carbon Balanced and Carbon Neutral?
Carbon Neutral is a registered trademark of Natural Capital Partners. Carbon Balanced Paper and Print is a registered trademark of World Land Trust.
