Pre-Press Studio Technician

Salary: £25,000 to £29,000 per annum, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

As a Pre-Press Studio Technician, your duties will include:

  • File Handling: Skillfully manage customer-supplied files.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality and accuracy of all materials.
  • File Preparation: Prepare and impose pre-designed files, ensuring they are print-ready.
  • Support: Collaborate with our sales and customer-facing teams, as well as liaise with other departments when necessary.
  • Computer Literacy: Utilise basic knowledge of Adobe design packages and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Problem Solving: Contribute your critical thinking skills to overcome challenges.

Requirements for Success:

To excel in this role, the successful candidate should ideally possess the following:

  • Experience: A background in file handling, checking, preparing, and imposing pre-designed files for print, especially with a knowledge of specialist imposition software.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with offset printing and Prepress workflows is highly beneficial.
  • Team Player: Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, sharing knowledge and fostering group learning.
  • Adaptability: A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to software essential to an advanced and evolving pre-press environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and time management skills are essential.
