Customer Success Story:

Contract Furniture Group specialises in manufacturing, supplying and installing furniture, fixtures and fittings for the hospitality, leisure, retail and care sectors.

Their Collection Brochure is an important part of their sales toolkit, helping showcase their extensive furniture range, inspire customers and provide a useful reference long after the initial conversation.

Having worked with our Business Development Manager, Rich Johnston, for many years, Contract Furniture Group chose to continue that relationship for their 2026 Collection Brochure, their first project with B&B Press.

The brief? To create a more practical, easy-to-handle brochure without compromising on the quality, presentation or impact of their furniture collection.

Their Challenge

Contract Furniture Group's previous brochure was A4, but the team felt a smaller format would be more practical for customers and their sales team.

Of course, reducing the size couldn't mean compromising on the photography. With so many products and finishes to showcase, it was important that every image looked its best and the brochure still felt like a premium piece of marketing.

The team also wanted to elevate the overall finish, creating something that looked and felt a little more luxurious.

Alongside this, they needed a quick turnaround while working within a tight budget.

Our Solution

Working closely with the Contract Furniture Group team, we produced a beautifully finished, 192-page Collection Brochure in a more manageable 239mm × 168mm portrait format.

A cover that makes an impression

First impressions matter, especially when your brochure is showcasing high-quality furniture.

We combined a soft touch laminate with selective spot UV to create a lovely contrast between the smooth, tactile surface and the glossy highlighted details.

It's a relatively simple finishing technique, but one that can make a real difference to how a brochure looks and feels.

Getting the details right

With such an image-led brochure, print quality was particularly important.

Our in-house studio worked closely with the team, refining images throughout the brochure to help ensure the furniture, colours and finishes were reproduced as accurately and consistently as possible.

We also paid particular attention to the artwork where images flowed from the cover onto the inside pages. This needed careful consideration during production to make sure everything lined up beautifully once the brochure was bound.

To give the customer extra reassurance before going to print, we supplied calibrated Epson proofs, allowing them to review the colours and image detail in print rather than relying solely on what they could see on screen.

Bringing it all together

The brochure was printed using our LED-UV litho press, producing crisp imagery and vibrant colour throughout.

With 150gsm silk inner pages, a 300gsm silk cover and PUR binding, the finished brochure combined durability with a premium feel.

And, as with all print produced by B&B Press, the project was Carbon Balanced through World Land Trust at no additional cost to the customer.

The Results

The result was a beautifully finished Collection Brochure that delivered what Contract Furniture Group was looking for: a more manageable format, a premium finish and high-quality photography that lets the furniture do the talking.

The combination of soft touch lamination and spot UV was a particular success, giving the brochure that extra something without overcomplicating the design.

Behind the scenes, our studio support and detailed proofing process helped ensure everything was right before the brochure went to press.

And with the whole project turned around in under two weeks, we were able to deliver the quality the team wanted within their timescale.

For Contract Furniture Group, it's more than just a brochure. It's a valuable sales tool they can confidently share with customers, helping showcase their collection and inspire future projects.

For us, it's another great example of how combining print expertise, attention to detail and strong customer relationships can make a real difference.

16-1

"The team really took care over the details, particularly the photography and proofing, and we're very pleased with the finished result. The soft touch cover and spot UV work brilliantly together and have really elevated the overall presentation."
