    How Can Print Be Carbon Balanced?

    It comes down to our process. We've been a Certified Carbon Balanced Printer through the World Land Trust since 2019, the year the UK committed to Net Zero. First, we cut the CO2 from our production to an absolute minimum, and keep cutting it year on year. Only then do we balance the small remainder through the scheme, which funds the World Land Trust to protect biologically significant, threatened rainforests. Everything we print on paper or card is Carbon Balanced Print,* and carries a unique logo to prove it.

    *Some Display Print (POS) products cannot be Carbon Balanced

    We ensure we have reduced the CO2 created from our print production to an absolute minimum, and continue to reduce this year on year.

    Once this is as low as possible - and only then- the emissions are balanced through our Carbon Balanced Printer scheme which funds World Land Trust to protect our biologically significant and threatened rainforests.

    We will print your order on Carbon Balanced Paper and deliver Carbon Balanced Print using a unique logo to show authenticity.

    The logo will demonstrate and communicate your commitment to reducing your carbon impact.

    Our on-site solar array generates an average of 175 kWh a day, and our LED press technology has cut the energy used to dry inks by 93% per sheet. We measure our output every year with an independent consultant and balance what's left, so the impact of your print is managed by us, not passed on to you.

    Frequently asked questions

    How do I add the Carbon Balanced Print logo to my job?

    Two ways. You can leave space in your artwork for us to add the logo before we print, or we can supply guidelines and a unique logo for your designer to use. We have a few versions of the logo, so you can choose one that complements your design.

    How can I work out how much carbon is balanced per job?

    We can work this out for you. It's a combination of what we balance from the print production process and the amount of Carbon Balanced paper used in your job. We can even issue a certificate showing the total carbon you've balanced and the rainforest you've protected by printing with us.

    Do I have to use the Carbon Balanced Logo on my job?

    We recommend it, but we understand if you'd rather not include it, and that's completely fine. The job is still Carbon Balanced Print and you're still supporting the World Land Trust, no one else will just know.

    What is the difference between Carbon Balanced and Carbon Neutral?

    Carbon Neutral is a registered trademark of Natural Capital Partners. Carbon Balanced Paper and Print is a registered trademark of the World Land Trust.
