Liking, loathing and free chocolate and pizza – the perfect recipe for our recent marketing campaign

For those of you who don’t already know, we’re a caring, sharing bunch here at B&B Press. Yes, that’s right, indeed we are.

We care about being more than just a professional printing company to our customers and like to share the latest developments and best practice techniques with each other to make sure we’re as good as we possibly can be.

We also like to share the love with our customers from time-to-time too.

So, when Valentine’s Day took place this year, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to run our very own special Valentine’s Day campaign, which attracted a phenomenal response rate!

As part of the hugely successful multi-channel campaign, we asked people to tell us how they felt about Valentine’s Day. Does it make them go totally mushy inside because they ‘love it’ so much? Or do they ‘loathe it’ and much prefer to treat it as though it’s just another day (not everybody’s a love bunny these days you know!)

Starting with an eye-catching email, our ‘Like it or loathe it’ campaign then invited people to tell us which date they thought would make the worst or ideal date, depending on how they felt about Valentine’s Day. Add some like it or loathe it-themed Valentine’s Day cards to the mix plus, Hotel Chocolat chocolates for a randomly-selected ‘lover’ and a pizza voucher for a randomly-selected ‘loather’ and the campaign was complete.

The end result: People totally LOVED it! So much so, the campaign generated 160 entries in less than a week!
