As a leading Yorkshire printer we believe that we have a responsibility to the wider world and our environment. With that in mind in 2008 we started our journey to become a carbon neutral printing company.

Through a scheme in partnership with Sheffield University, firstly we measured all the CO2 outputs from our printing company. Once completed, we invested in reducing this by as much as possible, from changing company vehicles to double glazing all windows, changing to vegetable based inks and to switching to automatic lighting.

Once this investment had taken place we re-measured our CO2 outputs from our printing services and the remaining CO2 is offset through a tree planting scheme in Lesotho South Africa, which we are very closely involved with.

The trees we have planted there will not only sequestrate enough CO2 to offset our outputs, but they are also helping to halt soil erosion which will secure the future for thousands of local people as they will once again be able to grow enough food to sustain their way of life.
