Environmental Policy

This policy will be communicated to all our staff, key clients and suppliers. It will also be made available to members of the public upon request.

“The management and staff of B&B Press are committed to the prevention of pollution and to minimising the environmental impact of our activities.
We will meet or exceed legislative and regulatory requirements and will seek to continually improve our environmental performance. We will set clear and realistic environmental targets, monitor emissions, manage our waste and develop and train our staff. The management of B&B Press will review the progress against environmental objectives and targets at least once each year.”

In addition to the foregoing policy where applicable, we will only use wood pulp based on sustainable managed forests. This will not, include wood from rain forests. Throughout our premises, wherever possible, we have thermal insulation and double glazing to maximise heating efficiency and minimise energy usage. We continually review our production processes to minimise levels of waste, re-use or re-cycle materials and product whenever possible and only dispose of waste via licensed contractors under a duty of care agreement.
All practicable precautions are taken to avoid pollutants escaping into the environment, including the installation of interceptors in the drains and the designation of specific caged or bunded areas in which to temporarily store waste for disposal. Our policy is to only operate modern and technologically advanced vehicles which meet all current emission legislation and run on ultra-low sulphur fuels.
We are fully certified to the international standards of the Forest Stewardship Council’s Chain of Custody which authorises us to investigate and verify the legitimacy, legality and origin of the paper products on which we print. At the time of our certification there were less than 5000 certificate holders worldwide and they were spread across 73 different countries.
